I'm so excited to share our next collection with you! The process of bringing each piece to life, from concept to sampling, to making, and finally sharing with our community, takes so much energy and love. As the launch date approaches, I can't help but feel a mix of excitement and nervousness, hoping that our new collection resonates with you as much as it does with me.
Creating each drop is like baring my soul. I pour everything into each piece, and it's something that I'm genuinely so passionate about. I want everyone to experience a slice of that and experience how it feels to wear something beautifully and ethically made.
I have always loved clothing, sewing, materials and making. I have photos of my room as a kid, and it was like a wild chaos creating things, mess and colour. I always knew I'd do something along these lines, and after years of being on the other side of fashion, I hadn't found a swim brand I really loved the shapes of, so created it myself.
Still, five years on, forever learning and adapting, every time I read feedback or see someone wearing Cooke Swim online or in person, I pinch myself.
This collection is something I wanted to feel timeless, effortless and easy to wear with your existing wardrobe. We had so many requests to bring back our plain black eco rib swim, and while we were working on this, I was at my parent's house looking through all the beautiful things they have collected over time and came across this stunning spiral shell. I immediately thought it could be the perfect addition to our classic ribbed swim. I had it cast, and after a few alterations, we came to what it is now - A nod to nature’s fluidity in creation and finding joy in the small things.
All our swimwear is made from recycled fibres, regenerated in Italy from discarded waste. When I first felt this ribbed fabric, I knew instantly we had to use it as it has such an incredible stretch, so fits super comfortably on the bod.
Our new full-piece style is one of my favourite pieces to date. I can't wait to wear this with a sarong or big oversized cotton pants.
Speaking of big and oversized, our Del Mar Tees are the perfect throw-on after a swim vibe. I designed them to be slouchy and oversized but not too long on the hem, so they are more of a boxy kind of style. I’ll be living in these over the Summer.
I styled this sample tee below with a hair elastic tied at the back.
Cotton Tees and our Del Mar Swim Club cap - A match made in holiday heaven.
Finally, my dream dress—again with our shell spiral. This filled up my Insta DMs - so I am glad its finally here for those of you who loved it as much as me. The silk we selected is so lightweight and soft. I wore this dress to a friend’s wedding at the peak of Sicilian Summer, and it felt so effortless, comfortable, and cool (both temp and vibe wise, ha).
This drop launches on Sunday, September 8th at cookeswim.com
